Stories-007 Kidnapped by R L Stevenson Reading, Listening, Comprehension Skill

Read the Following Story of R L Stevenson’s “Kidnapped” classic story brief

David was a kind boy with a kind heart. One day, his parents were gone, and David had to go live with his Uncle Ebenezer in a tall, gloomy house.

Uncle Ebenezer was not kind at all. He looked cross and spoke in a grumble. He seemed to like his money more than David.

One sunny afternoon, Uncle Ebenezer tricked David. He sent David into a dark tower. Suddenly, a big, strong hand grabbed David! He was pulled away!

David was put on a big sailing ship, far from his home. He was so scared and felt very, very alone. The waves crashed and the ship swayed.

One stormy night, another man was brought onto the ship. His name was Alan. Alan was brave and quick! He wasn’t afraid of the grumpy sailors.

Alan saw David was scared and alone. He shared his food and told exciting stories. David felt a little bit braver with Alan by his side. They became fast friends.

Suddenly, a huge storm hit the ship! The winds howled, and the waves grew as tall as mountains. The ship crashed onto rocky shores!

David and Alan bravely escaped the crashing ship. They found themselves lost in the wild, beautiful mountains and valleys of Scotland.

They had many adventures! They hid in caves, climbed steep hills, and crossed fast rivers. Alan taught David how to be clever and quick on his feet.

They knew they had to get back to David’s home. David needed to tell everyone about his mean uncle and get his house back!

Finally, after a long journey, they reached a town. Uncle Ebenezer was there! He was surprised to see David, who was now much braver and stood tall.

David bravely told everyone how his uncle had tricked him. Alan stood with David, telling how they escaped the ship.

Because David was honest and brave, and because Alan was such a good friend, everyone believed them! David got his house back.

David learned that even when things are scary, with courage and a true friend, you can overcome anything. He waved goodbye to Alan, knowing he’d remember their grand adventure forever.
